Mindful Vertigo Coaching

I've been where you are.

I'm Helene. In 2020, vertigo took over my life, and I remember how alone it felt. Today, I coach people one-on-one through the toll it takes: the fear, the isolation, and the lost confidence.

In 2020, vertigo changed everything.

To everyone around me, I looked fine. Inside, I felt lonely, isolated, and afraid, and I kept it to myself.

Healing took time: walks on the Jersey Shore, meditation, and my podcast, where neuroscientists, psychiatrists, holistic doctors, and people who had rebuilt their lives taught me how to take mine back.

Now I speak openly about mental health, because no one should struggle in silence. If you're silently suffering, I see you. That's why I started coaching.

Healing one heart at a time

The parts of vertigo nobody sees

The fear of the next episode

Never knowing when the next dizzy spell will hit can be as exhausting as the vertigo itself. We work on quieting that constant worry.

Feeling alone in it

Vertigo is invisible, so it's easy to feel unheard. With me you can say all of it, to someone who has been there.

Trusting yourself again

Small, steady steps back to yourself. Back to the life you love, with gratitude and grace for how far you've come. Trust the universe, trust yourself, and little by little, you'll be okay.

Imagine getting your life back.

Vertigo shrinks your world one small "no" at a time. This is about saying yes again.

  • Driving without an anxiety attack.
  • Getting on a moving vehicle without fear.
  • Waiting in line at the grocery store or the bank without bracing yourself.
  • Walking through the mall or the city with confidence.
  • Saying yes to social situations instead of making an excuse.
  • Waking up without checking if the room is spinning.
  • Trusting your body and mind again.

I know it's possible, because I've lived it.

Why work with me

Disclaimer: Coaching is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.

I'm not a therapist. I'm someone who has been exactly where you are and found my way back.

I know the pain of suffering in silence, when getting through the day feels impossible. I've lived it, so I can meet you with real understanding.

On my podcast, Coming From the Heart, I've talked with more than 170 guests, from people living with trauma and vertigo to professionals, thought leaders and holistic practitioners. I've asked them the questions I wish someone had answered for me, and I bring that into our time together.

I also bring a Master of Arts in Teaching, years as a professor and mentor, and QPR suicide prevention training. I know how to listen.

Questions

Is this medical treatment?

No. What I offer is emotional and practical support. I don't diagnose or treat vertigo. Please keep working with your doctor or vestibular specialist, and get urgent medical help for sudden severe dizziness with weakness, trouble speaking or a severe headache.

How much does it cost?

I'll walk you through it on our free call, so you know exactly what you're getting before you decide anything.

Is what I share kept private?

Yes. Every session is strictly confidential.

What happens after six weeks?

You're invited into the community I'm building, so you keep the support and connection going with others on the same road. And if you feel we didn't cover everything, we can do another six weeks together.

Your first step is a conversation.

Fifteen minutes, free, and no pressure. Tell me what you want back, and we'll talk about how to get you there.
